mango/Globalchow

I love everything about food. It was an experience growing up around a varieties of home grown fruits and vegetables, and seeing first hand the rearing of farm animal and the delicate way they were prepare for eating has given me a sense of been knowledgeable  of  how they’re grown.  Writing my blog brings me back to childhood  of waking up with my sister after a rainy night and running towards the mango tree  behind our house with buckets in our hands  to gather freshly rain dropped mangoes. it was one of those sweet memories like those big juicy mangos.

You my readers and followers will be part of my weeks and months of cooking and experimenting all the different dishes across the globe right from my kitchen and share them with you. Believe me this will be an adventure for me,with the hopes of going to these countries one day and try the exact same foods which i will prepare from my homely kitchen.

I do hope you will enjoy my blog and also be inspired from my cooking and advice.

Kia ora, or wishes of good health from New Zealand,

Just a note to thank you for following my new blog. You were one of the first to do so. It was most encouraging just when I needed it most.

I’m enjoying reading about your kitchen tour of the world. I think it is true that travel is as much about experience as location. To an extent one can travel to different places by, for example, watching a movie or visiting a restaurant. I applaud your effort to experience the places you hope one day to visit by exploring the local cuisines.

I understand from your reference to collecting mangoes, that you did not grow up in Canada. I’d love to hear more about your home country and the food there. Will it feature in your tour?

    Yours,
    Helena
