Today i will be sharing with you how i make Lemon Marmalade. It is perfect in tea, on muffins, bagels or has a spread pretty much on anything. 

You can put part of the lemon marmalade with soften butter in a bowl, then chill the mixture to firm a bit and you will have a perfect butter lemony spread .

  Did you know that the word marmalade came from: the portuguese word marmelada, a jam or preserve of quince. The language it is originate from is the middle english word. from the Greek words for honey and apple. The root of the portuguese word is Marmelo which is preserve made from quinces.

ingredient:

5 lemons

1/8 teaspoon baking soda

3 tablespoon lemon juice concentrate

6 cups granulated sugar

1 package powdered pectin

2 cups of water

INGRIENDIENT GC

Method:

GC

1.Wash each lemons properly, cut into small thin slices, discarding ends and seeds.

2. put the 2 cups of water into saucepan, bring to a boil over high heat. Pour in lemons and baking soda.

3. Bring the mixture to a boil. Turn stove down to low, cover and continuanly stirring frequently for 20 to 25 minutes.

4. Pour in lemon juice concentrated and mix very well, cover again and let simmer for 10 to 15 mins stirring on and off.

5. Add sugar to mixture and mix very well. Turn your stove back up and bring to boil, stirring constantly for 2 minutes. remove from heat.

6 Stir in your 1 package pectin powder. Stir and make sure to skim the surface frequently for 7 minutes.

Chow

7. Take your 4 hot sterilized jars and spoon in your marmalade leaving 1/2 inch head space. Seal with lids. and put into hot water for 6 minutes. It is finished, enjoy. Bon Apetit *-*
